Super Juiced Oakland – The queer, black owned juicery in Old Oakland

Super Juiced Oakland was born from two queer mamas of color from Oakland who love to make delicious nutritionally dense drinks and food that heal our people and help them feel good.

Founders Emanne Desouky and Rana Halpern created a space that can be a little haven where you can come hang out, get guidance about what to eat to feel better, and put self care and self love into action.

Get Energized

Their seasonal menu of juices, bowls, milks and tonic shots reflects the beautiful, fresh, vibrant bounty of California farms. Our fave menu items will definitely do your body (and taste buds) good!

– Bahia Moon Smoothie, featuring housemald almond milk, acai, blueberries, banana, spinach, almond butter, and dates

– Mango Con Chile Smoothie, featuring  coconut milk, mango, banana, cayenne and salt

– Verdolaga Glow Juice, featuring green chard, kale, romaine, parsely, cucumber, celery, mint and ginger

Dragonfruit Bowl, featuing pitaya blended with almond milk, strawberry and banana, topped with organic farmers market fruit, wheat-free granola, banana, coconut, and a drizzle of local honey

Yummmmmm.

We also love Super Juiced Oakland’s thoughtful, intentional take on what has come to be known as “superfoods.”

“Superfoods are not a new ‘fad,'” they explain, “but are actually ancient food wisdom passed down through indigenous communities through the centuries. We draw on this knowledge with reverence and respect, honoring the labor through trade. We lovingly incorporate these nutritious foods into our menu.”

Food as Justice

Their practices around incorporating nutritionally foods into their menu offering shows care, but it’s their commitment to supporting social justice through food that takes Super Juiced Open to another level.

“Food justice isn’t only about food deserts and access,” says the pair. “It is also very personal– how we treat ourselves and our bodies is a reflection of how we view our communities.”
